Caitlin Clark and Iowa make for most expensive Final Four ever

Caitlin Clark and Iowa make for most expensive Final Four ever

The star power of Caitlin Clark is pretty big, and the latest evidence is in the price of tickets for the Final Four.

With Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes punching their ticket to Cleveland for the Final Four, thanks to their 94-87 win over the LSU Tigers, the get-in price has skyrocketed.

In fact, the 2024 Women’s Final Four is now the most expensive ticket in women’s basketball history with an average price of $532, an 82 percent increase from last year.

Iowa and Clark have been must-see TV this year: The Elite 8 matchup against LSU was the most-watched women’s basketball game ever with 12.3 million people tuning in. That beat last year’s NCAA Final, again between LSU and Iowa, at 11.8 million.

The get in price for the women’s Final Four is higher than the get in price for the men’s Final Four, taking place in Phoenix.

It should be noted that the women will play their games at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, which sits just under 19,500 people. The men’s Final Four is being played at State Farm Stadium, which holds over 72,000 fans.

Clark announced that she would be foregoing her senior year next season with the Iowa Hawkeyes and would instead enter into the WNBA draft. She is currently valued at more than $3 million dollars in the NIL world, as she has used her visibility as the biggest star in college basketball.

The women’s Final Four will take place April 4 through April 7, and the Men’s will take place April 5 through April 8.
