Miranda Lambert Proves Her Husband’s ‘Gone Country’

Miranda Lambert Proves Her Husband’s ‘Gone Country’

You can’t turn a city boy country — or can you?

Miranda Lambert applauded her “city-gone-country-boy” husband Brendan McLoughlin on his 33rd birthday on Monday (Oct. 14), showing a slideshow of photos that clearly demonstrates his progression from svelte urbanite to rocking a Buc-ee’s tank and standing in front of a grill.

In the first image, McLoughlin is wearing sunglasses and a blazer, sipping wine from a glass in a shot that was snapped on a boat.

That look comes pretty naturally to McLoughlin, a native Staten Islander who worked for the New York Police Department (NYPD) when he first met the country superstar during her work trip to New York, N.Y.

But since then, he has been spending more and more time in Lambert’s home turf of Texas and Tennessee — and he’s embraced the country lifestyle wholeheartedly.

Lambert’s birthday tribute also includes shots of McLoughlin riding horseback, cracking a beer and just hanging out on the property he and his country star wife share.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my best friend, travel buddy, home cookin, pasta makin, animal lovin, down for anything, warmest, kindest, city gone country boy!” Lambert writes in her birthday tribute to her hubby. “Brendan you are a light in every room you walk in. I’m so lucky to see that smile of yours everyday forever. Thanks for being you.”

“33 looks so good on you!” she adds.

Her post celebrates more than just McLoughlin’s country side: Of course, Lambert also had to include a couple of shirtless snaps of her husband — photos showing off his chiseled abs have become something of a tradition on her social media feed.

In 2022, she clarified that McLoughlin gave the green light to the shirtless content: “He’s on board and thinks it’s funny,” she said in a Rolling Stone interview that year.

Lambert and McLoughlin got married in January 2019. They kept their wedding — and their relationship in general — a secret until just after Valentine’s Day of that year, when she announced the happy news on Instagram.

Miranda Lambert paid $3.4 million in 2016 for her rural estate an hour south of Nashville, which comprises 400 acres of lush green farmland. The property includes rolling hills, rustic living spaces and an enormous horse barn, as well as three residences, a lake with a boathouse and a six-bay garage. There are 75 acres of fenced-in pastureland, as well as lighted walking trails that wind through the woods leading to a pavilion, with seating for 60 for private concerts.
