Rascal Flatts Are Back! See 2025 Life Is a Highway Tour Dates

Rascal Flatts will break retirement to launch a two-month-long tour in 2025.

The group’s Life Is a Highway Tour is set to begin in February. It’s their first shows together in over a half-decade.

Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney began teasing a reunion on social media in September. While it wasn’t clear what the end game would be, fans immediately suspected a reunion tour, because they never really got a chance to say goodbye in 2020. A planned Farewell Tour was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Tickets for most dates of the Life Is a Highway Tour go on sale on Friday (Oct. 4) at 10AM.
  • Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane will open Rascal Flatts’ 2025 tour.
  • Expect a setlist filled with hit songs and album cuts.

Next year will mark 25 years since the group first started, and they say, “that felt like the perfect time to get back in front of all of You who have given us so much!”

“Prayin’ for Daylight” was their debut single. It was released in February 2000.

Unlike the tour planned for 2020, this one doesn’t seem to be a “farewell.” There’s no language that suggests the group will truly be done after the final show on April 5, although there is also nothing about new music.

Why Did Rascal Flatts Break Up in the First Place?

Originally, the band said it was simply time to call it a career making music together. Each member was ready to focus on individual projects, and since 2020, LeVox and DeMarcus have.

Rooney focused on his personal health after DUI charges and a divorce. In January 2024, he celebrated 28 months of sobriety.

Soon after the Farewell Tour was scrapped, it became clear that there was inner turmoil. LeVox revealed that he had “never been okay with the way that it ended,” and said that Rooney “quit” the band. Soon after that DeMarcus began to indicate the eventual Farewell Tour may end up not being a “farewell.”

“Who knows? We may feel compelled enough to go back out and do the music,” he said in 2021. “I’m just speaking theoretically, but [we might consider doing] 10, 15 shows a year, enjoy our Rascal Flatts music along with the other things we have going on in our lives.”

The Life Is a Highway Tour begins on Feb. 13 in Evansville, Ind., and includes arenas throughout the southeast and midwest. It wraps on April 5 in Jacksonville, Fla.
