Football can make people do crazy things, and for this one fan, it could mean the end of his relationship, and we got to hear the entire ordeal on-air.

A caller going by the name of ‘Cosmo Chris’ was calling in to be a part of the Tennessee Volunteers postgame radio show. You would think that a Tennessee Volunteers fan would be in a great mood following the Vols 69-3 mashing of Tennessee Chattanooga, but for Cosmo Chris, that is when this story fell apart.

You can hear his wife or girlfriend tell him to get off the phone and help out around the house.

“Get off the damn sports radio, it doesn’t matter to your family,” the angry woman can be heard saying. “It’s a loser situation. My dad needs your help…I’m so done with you.”

Now there is no word on what “two-and-a-half million dollars” at the end means. Life insurance? Bank balance?

It’s unclear if “I’m so done with you” means forever or is just an expression of anger in the moment.

Who knows, but the one thing we do know is that Cosmo Chris had a pretty rough weekend.

Interestingly enough, football is not known to be a major cause of divorces in the United States. In fact, experts say that we are heading into the time of year that sees the least amount of divorces as they believe that people try to keep their families together during the holiday season. But after that? January 12-16 sees the most divorce filings in the country, according to one law firm.

Hopefully more marriages are able to hold on through the rest of the football season as the NFL begins with regular season action Thursday night when the Ravens take on the defending Super Bowl Champions the Kansas City Chiefs.
