Jelly Roll Joins Morgan Wallen Onstage in Las Vegas

Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll looked to be as happy sharing a stage as fans were to witness it. The two stars teamed up to sing “Cowgirls” during a One Night at a Time Tour stop in Las Vegas on Thursday (Aug. 8).

Ernest is Wallen’s duet partner on the recorded version of the song, but with him absent, Jelly Roll filled in. All three men are friends off the stage — fans may recall Ernest co-wrote Jelly Roll’s first country radio hit, “Son of a Sinner.”

  • Nate Smith and Ella Langley joined Jelly Roll as the opening acts for Wallen’s first night in Las Vegas.
  • Bailey Zimmerman will replace Jelly Roll for Friday night’s show.
  • “Cowgirls” is currently inside the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Video finds Jelly Roll singing the song’s second verse before Wallen and the crowd join for the chorus. His surprise appearance was arguably the second biggest of the night, as during his set, another superstar took the stage.

Earlier in the night, Jelly Roll brought Machine Gun Kelly out for two songs: “Need a Favor” and “Lonely Road.” The latter is their spin-off on John Denver’s “Country Roads,” the music video for which stars Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo.

Fans were quick to upload video of the moment to social media:

Jelly Roll’s headlining tour is set to begin later this month, making this show something of a tune-up. He’s been pretty busy all summer, however, with several dates at fairs and festivals across America.

Friday night is Wallen’s last stop on the American leg of his One Thing at a Time Tour. He does have four international dates planned for this year.
