Fast-food restaurants have been under some scrutiny lately for their inflated prices. If you do get fast food nowadays, you want to be extra-sure that your order is correct before leaving, as it could be a costly mistake if not. But one woman took her dissatisfaction with her order to a whole new level.

Woman Runs Over Fast-Food Worker With Car Because of Botched Order

This all went down at the popular national fast-food restaurant Jack in the Box in St. Louis, Mo.

Here’s a rundown of events that took place leading up to the assault:

Police say that Talanye Carter, 41, went to the Jack in the Box on July 16 and complained about a single chicken strip she said was missing from the order she received from the fast-food restaurant the previous Saturday evening.

It’s kind of odd to wait a week to go back to complain about your order that was missing one chicken strip, so right off the bat, employees were suspicious.

According to court documents, the store manager replaced the missing chicken strip, just to solve the issue and keep the line moving. However, Carter “became unhappy with the lack of ranch dressing provided,” and spit in the manager’s face.

Carter then left the store and went to her car. The manager exited the store as well, but through a different door, in an attempt to get Carter’s license plate number.

That is when Carter decided to escalate this already tense situation even further. Carter entered her car, reversed and accelerated backward into the manager, running over her left foot and ankle and throwing her to the ground.

Carter fled the scene but was later apprehended by officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department on July 17.

According to the court documents, the manager’s ankle was visibly swollen and bruised from being run over by Carter’s vehicle.

Carter is now charged with second-degree assault — which is a felony — and fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Carter has remained incarcerated at the St. Louis Justice Center since July 17. She does not have a bond, according to state court records.

She went into Jack in the Box for one chicken tender with ranch and ended up in jail, eating jail food. Let this be a lesson, kids.
