Megan Moroney’s Having Cell Phone Struggles: ‘I’m That Person’

Megan Moroney has a bad habit, and she’s probably not alone.

The “Am I Okay?” hitmaker sat down with Taste of Country Nights recently and revealed an issue that continually plagues her, and it involves her closest family and friends.

When those closest to Moroney are trying to reach her by phone, they often can’t — she admits her cell phone is almost always dead, or desperately close.

In dishing on the things that she needs backstage at every show, Moroney said she is to the point where she needs to start asking venues to provide a phone charger that she can then take with her.

“I always forget a phone charger. At all times, my phone is on 2 percent,” she says. “It’s so annoying — I’m that person.”

Her screen is always cracked, too. It’s bad.

“Yes!” she admits when asked directly if her screen is cracked and if it makes it hard to read texts. “My screen is disgusting right now.”

“I’m falling apart, man.”

So, even if you can get ahold of Moroney by texting her, she may not be able to read it. If you call her and she picks up, her dying battery is likely to cut that short.

Fortunately, her career is a bit more neat and tidy these days. Moroney spent the summer touring with Kenny Chesney, and she’s nominated for three awards at the upcoming CMA Awards in November.

Moroney’s new album is Am I Okay?, which came out in July.
