Dolly Parton Musical ‘Hello, I’m Dolly’ Coming to Broadway

Dolly Parton’s life and songs are coming to Broadway. The country music legend announced during a Q&A at CMA Fest this morning in Nashville that Hello, I’m Dolly will debut onstage in New York in 2026.

The show, produced by Parton, ATG Productions’ Adam Speers, and Parton’s manager, Danny Nozell, will include the singer-songwriter’s career-defining hits along with new songs she has written especially for the production. Parton and Maria S. Schlatter teamed up to write the showbook.

“Hello, I’m Dolly, and I lived my whole life to see this show on stage,” Parton said in a statement. “I’ve written many original songs for the show and included all your favorites in it as well. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol’ Opera. Pun and fun intended. Don’t miss it!”

The musical’s title takes its name from Parton’s 1967 debut album. Her most recent album, Rockstar, was released last year and featured Parton interpreting rock songs with guests like Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, Steven Tyler, and Brandi Carlile.

Parton also recently guested on Beyoncé’s country project Cowboy Carter, introducing Beyoncé’s reimagined version of Parton’s “Jolene.”

“I first had the pleasure of working with Dolly Parton in 2019 when she trusted us to develop a new version of her musical 9 to 5 for London’s West End,” ATG’s Speers said in a statement. “I had always heard she wanted to do a musical based on her life, so when she asked if I would be interested in producing it, I was bowled over. As the world knows, Dolly is a magical blend of talent, hard work, intelligence, charm, wit, and a gigantically big heart. I’m thrilled we’re going to bring her inspiring story to Broadway.”
